The purpose for which this Association is organized is to secure closer official and personal relationship among the Chiefs of Police throughout the County of Essex, New Jersey; to secure by all proper and legal methods legislation and governmental action for the protective welfare of the public; to secure unity of action in police matters and to advance and further evaluate the standards of the police profession and the recognition thereof by the general public, to promote policy efficiency in general.
